Joby Bell

Concert organist Joby Bell will be heard in recital at Westminster Presbyterian Church as part of this season’s Musica Organi recital series. Cosponsoring this program is the Knoxville Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Dr. Bell is University Organist and Professor of Music at the Hayes School of Music of Appalachian State University, and he is known for “the breadth of his repertoire, technical virtuosity, and for the personal warmth which shines through in his performances.” As a recording artist, his catalog includes "American Classic Widor," a seven-volume series of the complete solo organ works of Charles-Marie Widor, recorded on Aeolian-Skinner and E. M. Skinner instruments around the country. His program will include works by J. S. Bach, Georg Böhm, Johann Niklaus Hanff, and Max Reger, among others. There is no charge for admission and the public is cordially invited to attend. A nursery will be provided.
