Jelly puts the spotlight on Boston's brightest comedians, with a focus on showcasing women - both veterans and quickly-rising talent - for a night of sharp, cutting and hilarious comedy. With a sharp presentation of a classic TV variety show and the added punch of unexpected live entertainment, Jelly fearlessly tackles music, sketch, stand up, improv, and audience interaction for the leading edge of alternative comedy. A night out with Jelly feels like traveling through time, with the best parts of the past and present fused to create a truly unique and unexpected experience.
Hosted by Nonye Brown West (Oberon, LaughBoston) and featuring Jelly announcer Harry Gordon (Improv Asylum MainStage, ImprovBoston MainStage), and the Jelly House Band with Jeff Greenwald's rock and jazz ensemble.
January's lineup includes musical headliner Niki Luparelli (AMC), stand-up comedians Emily Ruskowski(Boston Comedy Festival) and Chris Post (The Comedy Studio, Off Mic), and Sketch and improv from ImprovBoston's Floodward and Dangerfield, respectively.
Jelly is carefully curated by New England's most skilled producers through a special partnership between ImprovBoston and the Women In Comedy Festival.
Don't miss your chance to be a part of the show, as Jelly is also launching as a brand new podcast from the WICF Podcast network, home of Kenice Mobley's 'Person About Town' and Pam Victor's 'Conversations with Funny Feminists.'
