If after you have registered, you find you cannot attend, please email valerie AT grassrootsecology DOT org so that your place will be available for another volunteer. Thank you!
Join us for a weeding workday on San Francisquito Creek!
Come join your local community to conquer the invasive plants taking over native habitat. We will improve habitat for native insects, birds, fish and other animals as we work to help restore the "bottom of the food chain" - our native plants that support all other native life. No experience necessary!
This is a community workday; we invite volunteers of all ages to join us in this workday to restore the native habitat. Minors under 18 require a parent to approve the online waiver when registering for this event, and children under 12 require an accompanying adult (unless prior approval is obtained from the workday supervisor).
We will meet across the way from 1130 Palo Alto Ave, Palo Alto.
Please bring a reusable water bottle, and dress for outdoor work (sturdy shoes and long pants recommended). We provide gloves, tools, and snacks.
If you're interested in scheduling a special volunteer event for your organization, company, etc. please email valerie AT grassrootsecology DOT org for more information. Dates and times are flexible, and we look forward to working with you!
