It's Happening! Summer in St. James Coffee+Run Club

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services has kicked off another season of It's Happening! Summer in St. James - and this year, we've partnered with Athletic Performance to bring downtown San José a monthly Coffee+Run Club!
Every 3rd Friday of the month at 6am, meet the Coffee+Run Club in St. James Park for a 4-5 mile run through the many hidden downtown neighborhoods and historical gems. The running route will end at one of downtown's favorite coffee shops where each runner will be given one free cup of coffee. Take a little time to cool down, chat with new running buddies, and get that extra boost to jump-start your Friday!
The Coffee+Run Club is open to all ages and all paces. Runs will be led by Lisa Lord from Athletic Performance, a long-time marathon runner and a personal/fitness trainer for 12+ years. Lisa Llord comes prepared to lead the pack and share stretching routines, keep runners motivated, and share other great tips (i.e. improving your running form, how to use kinesiology tape). We will have 10-12 minute pacers along the route who can lead groups running at a slower pace.

For all attendees, please make sure you bring the following with you:

• Stretchy and comfortable running clothes
• Comfortable running shoes
• Water
• Eventbrite ticket
