Fintan Mullan, Executive Director, Ulster Historical Foundation, Belfast
Fintan has been with the Ulster Historical Foundation (ancestryireland.com) for 22 years. He is also a non-executive director of the Irish Family History Foundation, a member of the Northern Ireland Publications Resource (NIPR) and a director of the International Society for British Genealogy & Family History. He has spoken widely in the USA about Irish family history research, and also in Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. He has a bachelor’s degree in Irish Politics and Philosophy, and a master’s degree in Organization and Management, both from Queen’s University Belfast.
Gillian Hunt, Research Officer, Ulster Historical Foundation, Belfast
As well as managing the genealogy side of the Foundation's work, Gillian carries out research for individual clients and is a hugely experienced user of the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland and of Ireland’s General Register Office. She received a degree in History (BA Hons, 1998) and a Masters in Historical Studies (MA, 2000) from the University of Wales. With the Foundation since 2001, she regularly teaches courses and gives talks on family history in Ireland, the UK and the US.
