Join us in room 293 of Cory Hall on UC Berkeley's campus for an introduction to Julia with Jane Herriman!
We'll talk about what makes Julia special, applications of Julia that have produced fantastic results, and will do a few demos in Julia to show how easy Julia is to use.
All material covered will be introductory and it should be accessible (and hopefully useful!) to scientists, engineers, and anyone else with technical computing needs, not just those who think of themselves as programmers. Bring a laptop if you'd like to get your hands dirty as we go through coding examples. :)
