Introduction to Handguns Class

This introduction to Handguns class is designed for the people with little to no knowledge of handguns, or those who are years out of practice and want a good refresher course starting on page one. The first 2.50 hours of the class is spent in the classroom discussing the different types of handguns and how to handle them safely, ammunition, and the fundamentals of handgun shooting. The next 2.50 hours are spent on the range, doing actual shooting with a varity of guns, chosen by the instructor to fit the shooter. The basic stance, sight picture, and trigger control are emphasized to maximize success the first time out. After completing this class, the shooter will be able to safely use the range solo. This is the first of two required classes to obtain a License to Carry. A certificate will be issued for this introduction class for successful completion. Items that are required for class: Gun range fee, eye wear, ear plugs, 50 rounds of ammunition and hand gun. All of the items listed can be rented, purchased and paid for at the gun range.
