Learning to code can be intimidating on your own. Maybe you’ve started an online course but never finished. Perhaps you’ve made a website with Wordpress or a drag-and-drop web design tool, but want to do more. If you’re curious if a career in code is for you, or just want to gain a useful new skill, Awesome Inc’s Intro to Web Development is made for people like you.
This part-time, evening course for adults, 21+, covers introductory content used to prepare students for our full-time, intensive Bootcamp program, helping you build a solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Classes are two nights per week (Mondays and Wednesdays), 6:30pm to 8:30pm, for nine weeks. No prior programming experience is required, but basic computer skills (typing, using a web browser, etc) are helpful. Awesome Inc students have come from a variety of backgrounds, including manufacturing, design, food service, and healthcare. In addition to in-class hours, our instructional team is available for Q&A throughout the week via Slack.

Do I need to bring a computer?
Yes. Each student will need to provide his/her own laptop for the course. Microsoft Windows-based PC's or Apple macOS computers will work. We recommend a laptop made within the past 3-4 years. No prior programming experience is required, but students should be comfortable typing, navigating a file / folder structure, and using a web browser.
How many students will there be in my class?
This course is capped at 16 students.
