Intro to Laser Cutting Class
Learn to use a CO2 two-axis laser cutter
Laser cutting is one of the most accessible and yet one of the most rewarding manufacturing processes available today. Learn to cut shapes out of wood, plastic or leather. Engrave intricate designs with a high degree of accuracy and even make sloped 3-dimensional shapes in bas-relief. Create interlocking pieces that assemble into 3D boxes, models or furniture. With laser cutting, the sky is the limit as to what you can accomplish.
Because laser cutting is a two dimensional process, designs can be made in commonly used vector graphics programs such as Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw. This allows users with some design experience to get up and running quickly making their designs into real objects for prototyping, personal use or for sale.
This is the first of two classes you will need to complete to be certified to use our laser cutting machine. Be sure to follow up with Laser Cutting 2 to learn etching/scanning and more advanced techniques. Since laser cutting is one of our most popular classes we suggest you RSVP before either session.
AGE RESTRICTIONS:
18 and up (exceptions can be made for ages 15-17 that are interested, and 12+ are ok if they attend with a parent)

If you are not able to make it to a class please contact us and we will credit you for a space in another class.
MEMBERS MUST CHECK THEIR EMAIL FOR THE MONTHY DISCOUNT CODE. If a member buys a class ticket without entering the correct discount code we are not able to retroactively apply the discount. Codes are sent out every month and member discounts are not applied without manually inputting the code.
