Internationally Acclaimed Dementia Expert Teepa Snow Comes to UCR Palm Desert Campus

PALM DESERT, CA. – (Sept. 17, 2019) Alzheimers Coachella Valley (ACV) announced today that Teepa Snow, an internationally acclaimed dementia care trainer and consultant, will speak at the University of California Riverside, Palm Desert Campus on Sunday, Dec. 15, 1 to 4 p.m. Snow will present “How to Communicate with Someone Living with Dementia.”
Reduced price tickets are $50 per person for general seating, and a limited number of complimentary tickets and scholarships are available through the presenting sponsorship of The Auen Foundation, which is dedicated to enhancing the overall quality of life of the aging population. Additional tiered sponsorships are available with vendor and VIP opportunities to meet Snow before the presentation. Continuing education credits are available for healthcare professionals. Snow is a leading trainer and consultant providing support and care that places the person living with dementia in a pivotal role when determining what is needed. Snow’s goal is to help communities, agencies, organizations, professionals, families and individuals develop the awareness, knowledge and skills needed to better support and care for someone living with the brain changes of dementia. She is the owner and CEO of Positive Approach, LLC, with more than 40 employees and independent contractors across the United States and Canada.
An occupational therapist with 40 years of clinical practice, Snow’s approach is changing how many view neurodegenerative conditions and dementias, and how care is delivered throughout the U.S., Canada, Wales and across the United Kingdom.
