In the intermediate class we assume students have a basic understanding of how walking pivots and turns work and are more-or-less able to do them. The goal is to develop fluidity in these movements. Sequences are a little more complex and we begin exploring movements in opposite directions or off-axis. We introduce different rhythmic patterns and cadencia to add character and quality to your dancing and students continue to work on establishing a deeper connection with the partner through the embrace.
Intermediate dancers are encouraged to help out at the preceding beginner class.
