We Gone Be Alright: Intergenerational Dialogue About Protecting Black Boys

Moderator: Patrick Oliver

Panelist: Dr. Obari Adéye Cartman, Kwesi Ronald Harris, Quentin Love, Haki R. Madhubuti

Our boys are in trouble. Schools are pushing them out, the media feeds them toxic messages about masculinity, and we can’t trust the police to serve and protect. The trouble turns inward with inter-community violence and self-sabotage. However, as many problems as there are, we have more than enough solutions! Come join the conversation with some of the men who are doing the work. A diverse group of men, authors, educators, fathers, business men, healers and activists will discuss strategies to create communities where our boys can be safe, whole, productive and successful.
