In this middle school camp, students will explore the Chicago metropolitan area. From well-known places such as Navy Pier to lesser-known gems like Oz Park, campers, accompanied by Roycemore's own Humanities teaching team (Amy Milner & Howard Stanley), will navigate the city via public transportation. Travells with Camp Griffin will run from 9:00-3:00, with one extended outing to a White Sox Game. While on the road, campers will film video clips, and take photographs and notes of their adventures. On the days they are on campus, they will watch excerpts of famous travel shows, meet professional writers, and then use their material and the Adobe suite of products to create their very own documentary about Chicagoland.
