Infertility, Assisted Reproduction, and Third Party Reproduction: An Overview

The world of infertility, assisted reproduction, and third party reproduction includes vocabulary and knowledge that can feel overwhelming to support professionals. This presentation will review terminology and basic information to help clinician’s and other support persons to be able to understand what their clients are experiencing as they struggle to have a child. Topics covered will include trying to conceive, female factor infertility, male factor infertility, basics of assisted reproduction, third party reproduction (including donor egg, donor sperm, donor embryo, and surrogacy), and reproduction for LGBTQ+.
