ABOUT THE SERVICE: Join Peighton Carter, guest speaker, as she shares her journey from able-bodiedness to a person with multiple disabilities. Peighton will reflect on how that journey has shaped her as a future faith leader and deepened her faith as a Unitarian Universalist.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Peighton Carter just completed her ministerial internship at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Eau Claire, WI. She lives in La Crosse with her children, Whitby and Abbey. Peighton is a 4th year seminary student at Iliff School of Theology working towards a master’s degree in divinity with a focus in social justice and ethics. Her focus as a future faith leader is storytelling and narrative justice particularly in relation to disabilities, veterans issues, and sexual assault. She will also return to PCUUC August 23rd.
