Healthy people make healthy communities. What are the biggest barriers to overall health and quality healthcare here in northern Nevada? Learn about innovative approaches happening here in our community and what is being done to ensure ALL Nevadans can lead healthy, happy lives.

Join us for this monthly speaker series to learn about critical local issues that impact your quality of life here in the Truckee Meadows.

Each month local experts will shed light on the obstacles and opportunities we face as a community in areas such as Health & Wellness, Education & Lifelong Learning, Economic Wellbeing, Land Use, the Arts & Cultural Vitality, our Natural Environment, and so much more. February's topic is Health & Wellness: Improving Our Access to Quality Healthcare

John Packham, Ph.D - Associate Dean of the Office of Statewide Initiatives, Associate Professor Department of Internal Medicine at UNR School of Medicine, Co-Director of the Nevada Health Workforce Research Center and the Chair of the Governor’s Patient Protection Commission

Andy Pasternak, MD - Local physician, founder of Silver Sage Medical Center, member of the Washoe County Medical Society, Nevada State Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, and Nevada Academy of Family Physicians

Aaron Fricke, JD – Senior Deputy General Counsel for the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners, member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and American Health Lawyers Association, and attorney focused on healthcare, regulatory and professional responsibility issues.
