Graduate Series: Owning the Stage with Susie Simpkins

Explore the quality of your improv with the informed, constructive criticism of an improv pro. This advanced class is designed for the improviser who has completed level 600 and would like to polish their stage skills, space work, and character development. What are the particular problems you feel you need to work on? Do you get consistent notes with staging, volume, and presence? What do more experienced improvisers see when they watch you? Open scene work and games will be played with an emphasis on direct individual feedback. Come learn what you need to make your work stronger, more engaging, and fulfilling. This course provides students with impactful and direct feedback that highlights their individual strengths and identifies performance deficits. Areas of improvement are explored and tools for working in these areas are provided. Class ends with a showcase and includes additional performance opportunities.
