The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) leads Singapore’s digital transformation and coming together for this initiative with the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), GlobalSign.In, Golden Energy and Resources Ltd (GEAR), and ABM Media.
Neighbourhood Communities - Enhance a culture of support within neighbourhoods and promote trust and support for vulnerable communities.
Migrant Workers Access - Access accurate and timely information on healthcare, food, working rights, shelter and mental health support for migrant workers.
Food Rescue - Create food rescue ecosystems that coordinate the food industry, charities and supporting industries to minimise food wastage.
Supply Chain Resources - Transform the supply chain into more adaptive, sustainable business models that also meet the demands of societal needs in deeper public-private partnerships.
Workforce Optimisation - Optimise operations across markets and regions to support workforce testing while minimising disruption to business operations.
Community Engagement - Coordinate stakeholders and skills-based volunteering on a single platform where sponsored resources and impact can be accounted and measured.
Applications will be evaluated based on the judging criteria set out on the platform.
COVID-19 is a pandemic that has just exposed the weakest points in every country, including Singapore. Without immediate intervention to curb this shock to the most vulnerable social groups, the social costs of this outbreak would be drastic and irreversible in the short and medium-termsWe hope that this effort sets the pace for social-minded groups to come forward with their innovative ideas to address some of the biggest social challenges and issues post the COVID-19 pandemic.
