FAQs

Are there ID requirements?
  • YES.  Georgia State University students, faculty and staff must bring a valid Panther ID card to the workshop.  Driver’s license, Jag cards, or any other form of ID can NOT be accepted.  Not with Georgia State?  See “I don’t have a Panther ID card” below.
I don't have a PantherID card.  I’m not a current student or GSU employee!
  • Not a problem!  Our workshops are open to the public for a small fee.
    • The fee is $10 per session for attendees that are not actively part of GSU.  We cannot accept cash, debit, or credit cards. Payment must be in the form of a check or money order (remember: we cannot accept cash!).  The checks or money orders should be made out to Georgia State University.
    • You’ll also need to fill out this registration form and bring it with you along with your payment (again, checks or money orders only) to the workshop.
  • Important: Please send an e-mail to PantherTech@gsu.edu to confirm access to computers/network for workshop participation.  Please send your e-mail at least 3 business days ahead of the workshop.  ALSO, please arrive at least 10 minutes early to get attendance processed and set-up on the training machines.

Where do I park?

  • Parking information for GSU's Atlanta and Perimeter campuses is at https://parking.gsu.edu/. You'll find info on Student, Faculty/Staff, and Visitor (non-GSU) parking. For a specific Perimeter campus, select "Perimeter College" from the menu at the top of the page.

Navigating the Campus.

I’m running late.  Can I still attend?

  • It can take a few minutes to log in and get set-up to follow along in the workshop, so we ask folks to arrive early.  However, to limit disruption we limit admission to 10 minutes after published start time.  Too late?  That happens – check back at http://technology.gsu.edu/panthertech for the next workshop.

I’d like to bring someone with me.  Is that OK?
  • Yes! The more the merrier.  If they are part of GSU they’ll just need to bring their Panther ID card with them.  If they aren’t from GSU and wish to participate in the workshop see above – “I don’t have a Panther ID card.”  If the person you are bringing just wants to sit in and not participate, unfortunately in this case they’ll have to wait outside the workshop.  Please remember these workshops are here for the GSU community and paid participants.
I have other questions!Write to us at PantherTech@gsu.edu .

Thanks for your interest in our workshops!
