About this Event

iFLY is proud to collaborate with the Boy Scouts of America across the nation. Through this collaboration, iFLY offers scouts a chance to earn the STEM Nova Award and experience firsthand how flying accelerates learning.

Cub Scouts, Webelos Scouts, Scouts BSA, and Venturers can now earn the STEM Nova Award at any U.S. iFLY location! Scouts will get fired up about math and physics when they see it come to life in a state-of-the-art wind tunnel. Our highly trained STEM educators guide students through an immersive, hands-on experience that consists of:

• An interactive presentation on real-world STEM applications led by STEM Educator.
• Lab activity and immersive experiments (based on grade level).
• Physics demonstrations in the wind tunnel.
• One-on-one flying with a certified world-class iFLY flight instructor.
• Rental of all gear (flight suit, helmet, goggles, earplugs)
• Flight instruction and safety training
• iFLY STEM Swag Bag (includes a t-shirt!)

This event is open to ALL Scouts registered with any Council of the Boy Scouts of America, regardless of rank and gender. Please be advised that iFLY does not employ registered/certified BSA Counselors; these individuals must be sourced from your local BSA Community.

FAQs

Are there age/physical limits to enter the event?

There is no age limit to attend, but there are physical requirements for the flight experience. Please complete our waiver and review the terms if you plan to fly during the event.

Online Flight Waivers

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Please wear well-fitting, lace-up sneakers, or running shoes. Other shoes are not suitable. Wear casual clothes, preferably pants and a shirt without a collar. You won’t have to change out of these clothes—you'll put your flight suit on over your street clothes.

Who can fly?

Please note this event is open to ALL Scouts registered with any Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Parents and Siblings can also join in the experience, during the purchasing process you can find the tickets for family members only.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?

Yes, you may transfer your registration to anybody registered with a Councail of the Boy Scouts of America. Please contact us if you would like to transfer your ticket.

Can I Invite other guests?

Yes, please let anyone else that would like to attend that they would need to get a ticket as well.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You can also bring a digital copy on your device. Not required, but it can be helpful.

Can I add the High Flight experience?

Yes! It is only $14.95 and is created specifically for first-time flyers to experience advanced body flight during their first flight. Call ahead at 210-762-4359 to add your High Flight in advance or you can also request it upon arrival. Watch the High Flight Video

I'm interested but I am unable to make it. What should I do?
