IAAP Alaska (Virtual) Branch - Minute Taker's Toolbox

Agenda:
5:30 to 6:00 pm - Networking (In person participants, please consider bringing a light appetizer or snacks to share. Networking is always more fun with food.)
6:00 to 6:10 pm - Introductions and welcome (Online participants are encourage to be present for introductions to receive credit for attending.)
6:10 to 7:20 pm - Training

Taking minutes may take a few hours, but it doesn’t have to be difficult – especially if you understand your role in the process and use the tools available to you. This session will reduce your stress levels and make you more confident in your ability to take professional minutes in both formal and informal meetings.

Discussion points include:

• Three concepts to help you be a great minute taker
• How privacy legislation is your friend
• The tools available to you
• A five-sentence success checker to determine what to record/what to ignore

1 certification point will be awarded at the completion of this event.

Login information will be sent to attendees prior to the event by the Branch Director.

Also for those attending in person, please feel free to bring food and drink for yourself or a snack to share.
