The Human Performance Project
Life of an Athlete/Applied Performance Sciences
The Human Performance Project helps teams, organizations, and individuals understand the necessary conditions for peak performance and provides the tools to capitalize on that potential regularly.
Optimum physical and mental performance—in sport & academics—can be traced to inputs that are physical, behavioral and neurobiological. These inputs, in turn, can be traced to lifestyle choices and habits. Simple changes in lifestyle can have outsized impacts on performance. This is true for individuals as well as organizations.
Our team draws on years of experience in human performance optimization in Olympic sport, professional athletics, prevention and military special operations to develop tools that can be employed by any individual or organization to boost performance.
The Human Project is collaboration between Life of an Athlete (founded by John Underwood) and Applied Performance Sciences. The balance of science and leadership is a powerful tool to give students, coaches and parents to make the best choices with the best information.
Come join us and take part in some of the best information regarding human performance to be held on the campus of University of Nebraska - Lincoln. The two-day training will consist of large and small group discussion, physical training, leadership development and the science beyond the effects of drugs and alcohol as well as sleep hygiene, nutrition and stress management.
