EXACT LOCATION: Departures Area in Terminal D at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport, 2400 Aviation Dr, TX 75261
DATE: May 23, 2019
TIME: 7:45am - 9:15am (The Shareholders’ Meeting starts at 9am)
Join us in Dallas as we host a peaceful, legal protest against McDonald's and the cruel treatment of chickens in its supply chain during its shareholders’ meeting. This is a big opportunity and could be a turning point in the campaign. We’d love to see you there, so please plan to take the morning off work (if you can) or take a road trip to Dallas if you live out of the area. The McDonald’s shareholders’ meeting is an opportunity for the company, and its investors, to see where we all stand on this important issue.
Please note that we have obtained permits to hold the protest at DFW, this protest will be legal, silent and professional.
Chickens raised and killed for McDonald’s menu items suffer tremendously. These smart and social animals are bred to grow so unnaturally big their own legs can’t support their weight. Their lives are just as bad, if not worse - crammed into dark sheds and trapped in filth, unable to engage in most natural behaviors. These horrific conditions are unacceptable.
We are still confirming the exact details and will post them as soon as they are available. Please reach out directly to Maral Cavner (maralc@animalequality.org) with any questions or if you have media contacts who would be interested in covering this grassroots activism event. We cannot wait to see you there and to work alongside you to help animals.
