NeighborWorks Alaska invites visitors to engage with the stories of people who have experienced homelessness in Alaska, from HUD voucher participants to reentering citizens and from youth to seniors with disabilities. Learn about the many ways people can find themselves housing insecure and the supports that can work for them. Despite widely-held stereotypes, there is no single face of homelessness. The circumstances that lead to housing insecurity differ with each case and affects communities across Alaska. Included with admission (free for museum members).
This event is one of the partner programs associated with Houseless, an exhibition and community programming series at the museum Feb. 7 through April 5, 2020.
