Join a team of knowledgable divorce professionals to learn about dealing with divorce by taking a holistic and collaborative approach.

About The Workshop:

Divorce is often an overwhelming and emotionally devastating experience. When we start contemplating divorce, too often we think the first step is to hire an attorney when it may be best to save the attorney for last. Few truly realize the value, efficiency, and comfort a team of experts can provide at this critical stage in a relationship.

Each of us has witnessed, in our respective professions, the devastation resulting from couples having gone through a “traditional” litigious divorce process. Family ties are irreversibly broken. Savings are depleted. Innocent children become the collateral damage. It is heartbreaking to witness! It is the deep desire to help divorcing couples that brought the four of us together—to end the needless financial and emotional hemorrhaging and assist them in uncoupling in a much healthier way.

Join our team of divorce professionals, consisting of a family law attorney, certified divorce financial analyst, licensed relationship counselor, and real estate divorce specialist, to learn about and share a different, healthier, more holistic way to untie the marital knot.

Our informative presentation about the ABC's of divorce includes an overview of:

  • The divorce process from start to finish
  • Four options for divorce (including the Collaborative Divorce Process)
  • Financial planning during and post-divorce
  • Addressing unexpected emotional pitfalls and communication challenges
  • Key considerations for real estate decisions
  • Q&A with our panel of divorce professionals

You will learn what to expect and how to prepare for divorce in order to save money, time, and stress. The information will be presented in a logical and compassionate way to provide a clearer understanding of the divorce process from start to finish.

Divorce is hard and emotional, but it doesn't have to be ugly and expensive.

This workshop provides an invaluable overview for anyone facing the complexities of divorce and is designed to help at any stage in untying the marital knot. Come away with important information and resources that will educate, prepare, and protect you and your family while moving through the divorce process.

Katelyn B. Ridenour is a divorce attorney who specializes in family law. Initially, the last area of law Katelyn wanted to practice was divorce. However, over the last five years, Katelyn has realized there are many people who need a family law attorney that can help them reach solutions, rather than ignite a war. Katelyn has a Bachelor’s of Music in piano and clarinet performance and a law degree from Baylor Law School. Her first job was in a general practice firm, where she practiced personal injury, employment, breach of contract, and probate, in addition to family law. This broad base gave her valuable courtroom experience, as well as allowing her to spot other legal issues that can arise during a divorce. Katelyn works with professionals in a variety of specialties, including criminal defense attorneys, therapists, estate planners, financial experts, and real estate professionals, to ensure that all of your needs are met. In addition to traditional areas of family law, Katelyn keeps up to date with novel areas of the law, including embryo donation, embryo adoption, and disputes over embryos in the context of divorce.

Deb helps and empowers clients to find solutions to their relationship, communication, parenting, and career challenges. Divorce counseling/coaching is a flexible, goal-oriented process designed to motivate, support, and guide people going through the dissolution of their marriage. Deb’s work often includes assisting spouses open lines of communications, develop healthy coping skills, prepare to return to work after an absence, deal with emotional issues, structure a win-win parenting plan, and ensure their children’s needs are met, too. Working with a skilled, neutral professional assists in the healing process and helps individuals learn from marital missteps and not repeat them in future relationships. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Collaborative Divorce Facilitator, Deb maintains a private relationship/career counseling practice for Colorado residents and sees coaching and consulting clients all over the U.S. via video call such as Skype or Zoom.
