Hills of Helvetia - Evening

Helvetia hill climbing ride. For people that like to climb, or think if they practiced and got stronger they *would* like to climb.

Daylight savings time has begun, so this regular ride will be available every week - plan to come out and try it.

Burgers & beers and talk story afterward at Helvetia tavern if desired.

This is a climber's ride. Distances ~20 miles with elevation gains of 2000 or more. Big Fun! (Growing to ~30 miles and 2x elevation later in the season)
Regroup at the top of climbs, climb at your own pace.

Route will be by consensus. Ride leader is Paul Gerlach. It's okay if you don't know these roads, let us know and we'll make sure you don't get lost. Not sure you can hang? Well, these are nice people. They won't leave you for dead, but if you're making them wait too long at hilltop regroups, you should be a good sport and make your own way back. Expect a flatland pace of 17-19.

Please respect our wonderful host, Helvetia Tavern, and park ALL THE WAY IN THE BACK, by the RR tracks. If you come early, park as far back as possible, so that we can fill in from there.

Helmets must be worn at all times while riding. This is a requirement and not a request. Obey traffic laws and remember you’re a representative of the greater cycling community and should conduct yourself that way on the road. Represent us well!

Have your bike in good working order and bring a flat kit & the right size spare tube on all rides.
