Hike, Journal, Meditate - FREE Outdoor Journal Tour Event for Women

The Outdoor Journal Tour brings women together in an effort to create community around Mindfulness, Self-care and the Great Outdoors. Join us for our first REI #sponsored women's "Hike, Journal, Meditate" event in the D.C. area!

We'll be hiking the River trail at Great Falls Park which is a 3 mile trail just 20 miles north west of Washington, D.C.. We will meet at the picnic tables in the grassy area adjacent from the Visitor’s Center. This is an easy to moderate hike with beautiful views of the Potmac along the way. We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey, we are never in a race! We will incorporate some active meditation and journaling along on our route and we will end in the picnic area with some empowering Chakra Poses.

Stay for the after party following the event in the picnic area. We'll have trail inspired eats, drinks, giveaways and great company!

What you will need for this hike: 

• Sunblock and/or hat to protect you from the sun
• Comfortable hiking shoes/boots or trail sneakers
• Comfortable moisture wicking clothing - workout clothes work just fine!
• A daypack/backpack to carry all your items
• A yoga mat
• Your journal and a pen
