This is a fun series! We share together how to create, illustrate and maintain a Naturalist & Field journal. This includes practicing sketching, nature illustration skills, recording field observations, and simply writing about what we see, including how we feel. In Spring, when it's still cold, we might hike more than sketch. In the Summer, we might choose a spot and sit there the whole time. Often, the warmer it is, the longer the stops!
The series generally runs once a month, usually on first the Friday of the month (unless both our col-leaders are out of town). Over the year, we explore a few sites of the reservoir and cover ecology, phenology, birds, insects, mammals and the many critters that make the different habitats of Fresh Pond.
⚠️ This is an RSVP event. We favor event quality over attendance quantity, so this is a limited size participants event. Please make sure you only register if you are committed to attending and cancel your ticket if your plans change so as not to limit opportunity for others. We will email you when necessary if there is any change plan due to weather and other reasons. Thanks and register today!
Age: Teens (14+) | Adults | Seniors.
