PLEASE READ BELOW Whether you are an experienced US Soccer Referee or someone who would like to become a, becoming a High School Soccer Referee is a great way to participate in one of the most exciting and competitive sports environments a community offers. The Monroe County Public School Athletic Conference has expanded the use of a conventional three (3) person referee crew for the 2019 season. We are very excited and proud that we are one of the largest high school sections that use the 3 person referee crew throughout the entire season. The Central Western New York Board of Approved Soccer Officials ("CWNYBASO") is offering a NEW High School Soccer Referee class on AUGUST 24, 2019 at Penfield High School. The CWNYBASO NEW High School Soccer Referee Class will provide you with all of the tools and information you will need to start officiating high school junior varsity and varsity competitions in our area (Section V). After successful completion of the class, National Federation of High Schools Rule Test and background check requirements, you will be eligible to referee this fall 2019. The cost of the class is $70.00 (plus transaction fee). Class registration is paid at the time of register for the class. You will also be required to obtain background and fingerprint clearance from the New York State Education Department. If you currently hold a New York State West Youth Soccer Association Risk Management Pass, that DOES NOT qualify. You MUST obtain clearance to be a Sports official through New York State. 1) Establish a TEACH account through the New York State Education Department's TEACH Online Services System. Visit
