Helping Kids with Big Emotions Ages 2-7

*This event is for caregivers only and is 2 Saturdays* Raising kids is tough.  Finding effective parenting strategies that work for your family can be even harder.  As you are moving through your parenting journey, are you finding that there is no one solution for dealing with tantrums, meltdowns or anger?  Are you feeling frustrated and not enjoying parenthood as much as you thought you would? In Helping Kids with Big Emotions Workshop, I will provide you with education about your child's emotions through understanding the brain.  When we gain insight into how the brain works, we can apply that knowledge to helping our kids learn ways to manage their own emotions.  Session 1 will focus on the brain and how to help your child with identifying their emotions.  You will leave with strategies that you can begin using that day.  We will then come back one week later to discuss and explore the "real life" applicaiton of these strategies and explore what will be most helpful for you, your child and family.  This is an oppotunity to share and explore parenting with others who are in the thick of parenting young kids too.  We will meet on Saturday 3/25/17 and 4/1/17 from 9:30am-11:30am.
