3D4D by Chicago Sculpture International, located at 1912 N Damen, is presenting its second in person public workshop, "Have Your Art & Eat It Too", Sunday August 8th. The workshop, hosted by artist Janet Austin, focuses on additive sculpting techniques and making art with everyday items.
After exploring the absurd portraits of Italian renaissance painter Arcimboldo's, young artists will make a food sculpture with 3D4D artist Janet Austin. Participants will construct artworks with apples, raisins, baby marshmallows, little carrots, and cheerios to name a few. Materials included, however artists are invited to bring any special food items to share with fellow makers.
Parents are welcome. Artists under 8 are welcome with accompanied assistance.
