"Harvesting Wisdom for Design"

By definition, thought-leaders present us with statements and observations that capture deep wisdom. It makes sense to examine these statements and to harvest their insights, especially as those insights enlighten the craft and profession of design. Bill Wittland will channel the wisdom of some of our best and brightest — Steve Jobs, David Kelly, Sheryl Sandberg, Michael Graves and others — and draw out the implications of their insights on design. The session will focus specifically on the concepts of:

• creativity — inspiration and discipline
• identity — definition and destination
• aesthetic intelligence — emergence and impact
