Amidst these dark and dreary times, we've been holdin' out for a hero and, boy howdy, HARAMBE'S HEROES are blazing on through just in time! The sonic equivalent of a punch in the face (Queen City-style, natch), HARAMBE'S HEROES sound is gnashed, trashed, and bashed out by an all-star cast of characters including members of GG ALLIN & THE MURDER JUNKIES, HELLBILLYS, CHROME CRANKS, barrence whitfield & the savages, and more. Some things are just meant to be. So they are with Harambe’s Heroes. Take it and like it, punker. You’re welcome.
Masterminded by avant-guru David Lewis, Cincinnati underground legends 11,000 SWITCHES formed in 1980. Heavily inspired by the contemporaneous No Wave and postpunk sounds coming out of New York and the UK as well as the experimental/avant-garde and Dada movements of the early 20th century, the band boldly pioneered the Queen City’s DIY scene and are featured on the newly released compilation 'We Were Living in Cincinnati' (Hozac Archival/Shake It! Music from Ohio). The reactivated lineup includes guitarist William Weber (CHROME CRANKS, GG ALLIN & THE MURDER JUNKIES).
TODD NOVAK of Hozac Records will be kickin' out the jams all ding dang nite.
