Handmade Bookbinding (01-30-2020 starts at 7:00 PM)

Come for this handmade unique experience to make a book by hand for yourself or what a great way to make one for someone special as a holiday gift!
In this class you will learn a style of bookbinding that I designed myself years ago and it is one you will be able to do on your own again and again! Cutting down all the complexities of standard bookbinding this style will still create a beautiful, sturdy, one of a kind book! All materials are upcycled/salvaged and will be provided. You will assemble your book from scratch choosing the paper, fabric from the inside out and hand stitching in the paper. Come hang, create, share stories, and leave with a one of a kind handmade book!
The class will be held in my private Weaving Studio in downtown Oakland. We will be surrounded by handmade textiles, weaving looms, yarns, what a dream!
The class will take about 3 hours. Tea and light snacks provided.
