Course Description
Handgun/Concealed Carry Qualification Training is a basic handgun training course introducing the participant to handguns, covering the various types of handguns, purchasing considerations, ammunition, use, cleaning and storage, with emphasis on self-defense and concealed carry issues.
This is not a gun show or gun shop class. This course is over 5 hours of personal, interactive instruction with hands-on training.
This course is involves 4 - 4 ½ hours of classroom instruction, in which the student will be presented with practical lessons on the safe use, cleaning, and storage of their handgun. Classroom instruction will be followed by a minimum of 1 hour, one-on-one, live-fire range training. The student will be expected to fire a minimum of 50 rounds of ammunition, using a defensive caliber handgun. The practical exercise covers a single position and type of target.

Certificate of training - Florida concealed carry license application
An official certificate of training will be issued upon successful completion of the class good for application for the State of Florida concealed carry weapon license. Training meets and exceeds the State of Florida's requirement for concealed carry weapon license application.
* Successful completion of Handgun/CCW 101 qualifies the participant for the NRA's DEFENSIVE PISTOL COURSE, a true advanced concealed carry training course.
