The advent of the internet brought us all kinds of edgy techno-thrillers in the ’90s, but there may be none so totally radical as the cyberpunk classic HACKERS. With sick rollerblading, sweet hacker nicknames like "Acid Burn" and "Zero Cool," and SHORT CIRCUIT’s Fisher Stevens playing a character named "The Plague," it represented the ultimate in ’90s cool.
And we want to keep the dream of the ’90s alive at this special Cyberpunk Screening. We’re encouraging everyone to show up looking Gen-X antiestablishment chic, with timeless fashion classics such as wallet chains, baggy jeans, Doc Martens boots, male pigtails, leather pants with a lot of unnecessary buckles, some choice spandex options ("It’s a privilege, not a right"), and more.
With a theater full of ’90s-garbed cyberpunks and the ultimate Gen-X techno-thriller about rebellious teenagers hacking the planet / rollerblading / looking cool as hell, our HACKERS Cyberpunk Screening will make you feel like an honorary keyboard cowboy.
