So, what will grow in the vegetable garden when the temperatures are in the 100’s and many plants look like they are wilting and ready to give up? How about cucumbers, squash, and melons? These plants are easy to grow, love the summer heat and they are exceptionally easy to start from seed. In addition, starting in June may offer some protection against the dreaded squash bug.
