If you answered yes to any of the above questions, this is the workshop for you! I am here to help you navigate the graduate school application process and avoid common pitfalls, all while enjoying the uniquely intimate and refreshing experience of a GEMs event.

Who is this for?

Ambtious and dedicated college students interested in applying to a Master's or Doctoral Program in fall 2020

What are my qualifications?

I am a female, a minority, and the graduate of a doctoral program. While completing my doctoral program, I served in a graduate assistantship where I assisted with the admissions process. I have experince reading letters of recommendation, building impressive resumes, and writing memorable letters of intent. Additionally, I have seen a wide variety of errors and will help you to avoid making common mistakes or grave errors that could send your application directly to the deny pile.

• Workshop: Interview preparation 

• Peer review of one of the following; CV/Resume, Letter of Intent, Letter of Recommendation Draft

What is included with Sapphire ticket:

• Workshop: The anatomy of an attractive application package 

• Workshop: Interview preparation 

• Peer review of two of the following; CV/Resume, Letter of Intent, Letter of Recommendation Draft

• Lunch

• Swag

What is included with Amethyst ticket:

• Workshop: The anatomy of an attractive application package 

• Workshop: Interview preparation 

• Peer review of all of the following; CV/Resume, Letter of Intent, Letter of Recommendation Draft

• 1:1 Coaching on the application process plus 1 follow up session

• Lunch

• Swag

What you will need to bring with you:

• A computer or tablet

• A draft of your letter of intent/personal statement, letter of recommendation, cover letter,  and CV/resume

• GPA and test scores 

• A list of 5-8 programs you plan to apply to
