The Black History Committee of the Greater Tampa Chapter of Jack and Jill of America (GTC) invites you to celebrate the works, the sacrifices, the legacy and the progress of our people. This black cultural experience, uniquely tailored to observe Black History Month, will include educational booths, storytelling, arts and crafts, face painting, music, food trucks, and a walking tour through the historic Perry Harvey Sr. Park. The educational booths will feature organizations/groups who will display books, pictures, videos and other artifacts that tell the story of the organization’s/group’s significance in black history locally and nationally. The walking tours will occur at 10:15 am and 11:00 am, and will be conducted by local historian Fred Hearns. Other activities include:

- 10:00 AM - Arts & Crafts, Face Painting, Bounce House

- 10:15 AM - First Tour (Tal 10 & Teens)

- 11:00 AM - Second Tour (TT/BB, Jet Sets)

- 11:30 AM - Storytelling

You don’t want to miss this event! This event is open to the public and will be fun for all ages! To register guests and GTC families, select Ticket, then Individual to select the ticket type. Sales will end Wednesday, February 26, 2020.

Please note that this event will take place in conjunction with GTC’s Tutus & Tennis Shoes 5K Walk/Run Health Fair. Although you do not have to be registered for the 5K to attend the Black History Festival, we invite you to participate in all activities. Exhibitor/Vendor Information

Is your group/organization part of Tampa’s rich cultural black history? If yes, we would love to have you participate in this event and would love to hear from you?

The exhibitor’s fee is $50 if you wish to sell merchandise. Exhibitors who will not sell merchandise are asked to contribute a door prize valued at $20. All exhibitors will be provided one six-foot table, one black table cloth, and one chair. There will be a prize for the best table. To register as a Vendor or Exhibitor, select Ticket, then Organization to select the desired Exhibitor/Vendor option.

Attire:- Jack and Jill attire preferred for members of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Comfortable attire for all other guests.
