Kids are taking over the kitchen! Learn tasty treats and useful techniques during this week-long, hands on camp. Campers will be actively creating meals and treats from recipes across the globe, all in preparation for the most coveted reservation in town: Parents Banquet! Camp is Monday through Friday 10am until 2pm. Ages 8-14.
Monday - Flavors of Latin America Creating fresh pico de gallo is a perfect for practicing knife skills! The salsa will be paired with tostones, then the campers will make empanadas, arepas with corn sald, and finish with tres leches cake.
Tuesday - Eastern Europe No borscht, but lots of yum! Campers will create khachapuri a treat from the "other" Georgia, pierogi, sweet and sour cabbage, and apple cake for dessert.
Wednesday -Mid East Feast Using their new found knife skills, campers will make Jerusalem salad, to accompnay falafel, pita, hummus and baba ghanouj. For dessert, they will make baklava.
Thursday - Italian Favorites Campers will learn to recreate all their favorites from scratch: pizza dough, pommodoro, ricotta, and pasta. We will also spend time creating an exciting menu for our big banquet.
Friday - Parents Banquet: The students will spend the first half of the day preparing a delicious meal to showcase their knowledge and skills. Please join us at 12 pm for a sit-down luncheon and presentation. The banquet is limited to two adults only.
