The Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust Colloquium Concerts continue at Skidmore with the beloved music of Argentinian tango composer Astor Piazzolla in Libertango, Coral and other short dances; Rounds for Orchestra by David Diamond; and Bela Bartok’s vibrant Rumanian Dances, with a special dance performance. Plus: Greenwich Village Portraits by David Amram (composer of the Beat generation) performed by saxophonist Ken Radnofsky with the composer in residence to read selected Beat poetry. Presentation of historic photography of the Village Vanguard, folk singer Odetta, and other legendary figures and places of the Beat generation.
