We're pairing cheese with four Glendronach sherry-aged single malts with Glunz Tavern's famous giant pretzels.

As whisky lovers, you probably know that just about everything pairs well with whisky. But did you know that cheese pairs really well with whisky?

Especially when cheese expert Erika of Cheese Sex Death picks the cheeses and pairs with them the beautifully delicious Glendronach single malt. Plus we'll have Glendronach's Brand Ambassador Adam there to walk us through four scotches, and have those amazing giant pretzels from Glunz Tavern to munch on.

If you think you don't like single malt scotch, you have to try Glendronach. It's a great introduction to scotch (or even whisky in general). The Highland region distillery is known for their sherry-aged whiskies, giving them all notes of nutty sweetness. And if you already like Glendronach, get excited to see how they pair with cheese!

We're tasting through the core rang of four Glendronach single malts:

  • Glendronach 12 Year - aged 12 years in ex-Oloroso sherry and ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, with notes of dark chocolate, raisin, cinnamon, and hazelnuts on the nose; and buttery, fruit, pain au chocolate and marmalade on the palate.
  • Glendronach Revival (15 year) - aged 15 years in ex-Oloroso sherry and ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, with notes of coffee beans, sponge cake drenched in sherry, and mint leaf on the nose; and oily walnut, new leather, blackberry and apple crumble on the palate.
  • Glendronach Allardice (18 year) - aged 18 years in ex-Oloroso sherry casks (only), with notes of thick sherry, pineapple and brown sugar on the nose; rum, chocolate-covered hazelnuts and honey on the palate.
  • Glendronach Parliament (21 year) - aged 21 years (!) in ex-Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, with notes of smoke and lemon juice, date, apple peel, toasty oak, and espresso on the nose; and syrup, juicy raisins, oak, peach, cherry, and melon on the palate.

Each will be paired with delicious cheese picked by Erika of Cheese Sex Death. We'll learn about cheese, we'll learn about Glendronach whisky, and we'll have a great time at Glunz Tavern!
