We ve been discussing this trip for almost two months and it s time to get serious about it. Covid has been the sole reason for the uncertainty and we have seen the situation change a lot during the last few months. I ve been carefully watching the developments and I feel safe in proceeding. I know four people who have made a very similar trip this summer and all have remained well since they returned. Further, they have encouraged me to proceed.

As a result of Covid, we will face some limitations, albeit minimal. The East side of Glacier will be closed and the Red Busses won t be running. Additionally, we ll encounter some restaurants that will offer only carryout service. On the flip side, costs will be less than normal, crowds will be a little less and accommodations that normally wouldn t be available with such short notice can be reserved.

While crowds will be less, they will still be significant. Crowds and Covid don t mix, so to encounter fewer visitors, the trip will not take place after Labor Day. September 10 - 22 to be exact. I also expect that Covid may be somewhat more contained by this time as well. It is also worth noting that the states to which we are going have less of a Covid problem than the Atlanta Area.

There is a link to the itinerary at the bottom of this description. You may choose to participate for only a portion of the trip and you don t have to take the same flights or even arrive and depart from the selected cities. Making alternate plans will increase your cost, especially if you are not sharing a rental car and accommodations.

Planning for rental cars and lodging depends on the number of participants; so we need to know ASAFP who is going to be doing what. Please treat this with the utmost urgency and let me know what you plan to do by COB Monday, if not sooner. Failure to make bookings by this time could cost you significantly more and may lead to less convenient locations to stay. Trust me, I ve been closely watching this and I ve seen rooms disappear and airfares increase in price.

We have previously made use of conference calls to discuss this trip and those calls will continue up until the time of departure. I also have a distribution group created, so we can easily communicate via email as well.

You can email me at [masked] or text me at[masked] if you have any questions.

The itinerary is below. Please review it carefully and let me know if you see any oversights or errors.
