Girl Scout Backpacking Interest Group (BIG) BEGINNER TRAINING 1

New BIG members will be trained in backpacking: gear, safety, cooking, procedures.  New members must attend a training session in order to go on a trip with BIG.

All Girl Scouts 6th-grade and older, as well as adults, are invited to come and learn how to backpack with BIG. No prior experience is needed.  You will be taught everything you need to know to have a wonderful backpacking experience in the California wilderness.  BIG has equipment to loan: backpacks, cooking gear, and shelters.  BIG is always looking for adults to join as trip leaders.
