Dr. Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Dr. Raymond Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Dr. Egon
Spengler (Harold Ramis), and Winston Zeddmore (Ernie Hudson) area quartet of Manhattan-based “paranormal investigators”. When their government grants run out, they go into business as The Ghostbusters. Armed with electronic paraphernalia, the team is spectacularly successful, ridding The Big Apple of dozens of ghouls and ghosts. Tight-lipped bureaucrat William Atherton regards the Ghostbusters as a bunch of charlatans, but is forced to eat his words when New York is besieged by an army of unfriendly spirits, conjured up by a long-dead Sumerian God named Gozer and “channeled” through beautiful cellist Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) and nerdish Louis Tully (Rick Moranis). Will they be able to defeat Gozer when he manifests as the most unlikely of foes?
