Gambeta FC Practice (THIS IS ONLY FOR CASA SOCCER LEAGUE PLAYERS ONLY)
This event is ONLY for Casa Soccer league Gambeta Teams.
To improve on fitness, mentality, calmness, decision making, first touch, possession, final execution and to develop a style of play.
FITNESS (15 MINS)
- Full-field Running- 3 laps (7 mins)
- High Intensity Workout (5 mins)
Rep 1: 15 sec on feet running, 15 sec side steps, 15 sec high knees (30 sec rest)
Rep 2: 10 jumping squats, 10 skatings, 10 push-ups (30 sec rest)
Rep 3: 20 Russian twists, 15 sec planking, 15 sec mountain climbing
- Stretching (3 mins)
DRILLS (30 - 35 MINS)
- Rondo Drill (10 mins)
Goal: to improve quick decision making and one touch control.
How it works: Try to get to 10 touches. 10 Push-ups for 2 inside players if they can’t stop the 10 touches. Within the circle/square and not out of bounce.
- Set Pieces (10 mins)
Goal: to leverage our chances with set pieces with a dynamic creativity
How it works: 2 teams of 8, 5 minutes each team. One attacking team tries different sets of set pieces, one team is defending
Equipment: 5 stations with 3 balls: 3 free kicks and 2 corners
- Shooting Drill (10 mins)
Goal: to improve your first touch, ball control and passing, chest control, dealing with aerial ball control situation, and final execution
How it works: 2 big goals in a small space. Players receive balls and shoot from inside and wings.
TEAM TIME-OUT (5 -7 MINS)
Team game plan + discussion
Keep it brief and straight to the point.
SCRIMMAGE (60 MINS)
8v8 - half field + big goals: 3 teams of 8
Goal: to improve on small touches, quick decision making, long passes, final executions, 1v1 situations in a tight space, to develop a style of play.
How it works: each team needs to get 5 touches before someone can score. Teams can score from anywhere. GKs strongly recommended. 2 goals or 7 minutes. Winning team decides the punishment.
EXTRA PRACTICE (5 MINS)
Goal: to improve on confidence and PK skills for both takers and GKs
