Gallop 5K - VOLUNTEERS 2019

The Gallop 5K 10/19/19

Each registered participant will receive an official stick-horse. Yes, a stick-horse. Imagine?! You get to gallop through the iconic Garden of the Gods with red sandstone formations to your side, the dramatic Colorado sky, magnificent Pikes Peak to the west, fall in the air, and of course your trusty companion stick horse by your side.

Gallop 5K Volunteer Team

Thank you for your interest in being an awesome volunteer for the Gallop 5K!  We can't do this without you. We have many opportunities for involvement and would love to see your smiling face!

Arrival time

Each volunteer will receive an email with the specific time that we want you to arrive. The early setup team and registration team will need to be at the event bright and early. If you want to come early before your volunteer shift to eat breakfast snacks, hang out and help in other areas then be there by 8:00, otherwise please arrive at the time you receive in your email. Most shifts are less than 3-4 hours long, but you're welcome to stick around and help out in another area if you're having fun!

Specific Volunteer Tasks

Please choose a task that looks like the most fun to you! We will do our best to assign you to the area you are looking to help in, however please understand that we might need help in additional areas on the day of the event depending on event needs. 

Additional Gallop 5k Help

We are looking for extra help with Horsey Pickup. Please let us know if you want to join the fun!

Parking 

Please park in the Pleasant Valley neighborhood on Chambers way. Please be courteous to neighbors. 

Community Service Program

If your work or school considers the Gallop 5K a community service program please bring paper work with you and we're happy to sign the form.

Volunteer Lunch

Because we love you and we can't do this without you! We will provide volunteer lunch around noon on the day of the event. 

Our two beneficiaries are Garden of the Gods Foundation and Rock Ledge Ranch. Our beer garden beneficiary is Rocky Mountain Field Institute.
