Here’s what we integrate into every Y Camp experience: A caring environment for all children Adult role models. Our Camp directors, Camp counselors and staff model positive, responsible behavior Positive peer interaction. Campers interact responsibly in safe, well-supervised settings Self-esteem. Our staff and activities make campers feel successful and good about themselves Join our SUMMER DAY CAMP at the Gardena-Carson Family YMCA! Summer Day is designed to build confidence, make friends, and learn character building values in the safe and encouraging environment of the YMCA. Ideal for working parents, our SUMMER DAY CAMP provides a safe place for kids when school is closed for summer break. You'll have peace of mind knowing that your child(ren) are in good hands, while they're engaging in fun & meaningful activities. Our counselors are trained to give positive reinforcement, while helping build self-esteem and promoting a healthy lifestyle to your children. Camp runs 7:00 am - 6:00 pm with applicable fees (see internet for registration). You provide all snacks, drinks, and lunch, so please make sure to send those along with your child. The camp fee for Gardena Carson Y Members is $149/week and for non-members, $199/week. All activities take place at the Y facility at 186th Street Elementary School in Gardena, CA. Thirty-Minute (30) Weekly Swim Lessons are available for K – 2nd Grade Campers and Free Swim for 3rd- 5th Grade Campers.
