No matter what functional role one holds within gaming (whether it be regulator, policy maker, or operator), the complexity and breadth of policies, procedures, and operational oversight creates knowledge gaps. There are few structured learning opportunities within the professional lifespan to provide comprehensive learning about the various areas of gaming regulation. This certificate program provides exposure to all areas of the regulatory ecosystem and establishes a baseline of knowledge for those who interface with the regulated land-based casino environment.

Delivered by expert faculty in an executive education classroom format, the curriculum has been strategically designed by academic faculty and regulatory practitioners at the International Center for Gaming Regulation to provide a holistic understanding of the primary aspects of gaming regulation.

Topics covered include:

Day 1:  Current Issues in Gaming Regulation and Public Policy; Pre-Licensing Investigations & Suitability Standards; Financial and Company Investigations
Day 2: Understanding Casino Game Play - Craps, Blackjack, Baccarat, & Roulette; Casino Audit and Internal Controls; VIP Gaming, Credit Issuance & Debt Enforcement; Current Issues in Gaming Enforcement and Patron Dispute Process

Day 3:  Technology & the Casino Environment; Compliance, AML, and Disciplinary Actions; A Primer on Sports Betting; Internet Gambling; and “The Casino of the Future"

Day 4: Casino tour

Program content and order are subject to change based on faculty and site visit availability.
