Fun Family Friday! An evening of 'Unity Arts' led by Emmy Award-winning actor/singer Obba Babatundé & the Get Empowered! Cultural Arts Crew

Location: First Congregational Church of Oakland, CA - Reidenbach Hall
Description: Get ready to smile, move, sing, jam and connect! Join acclaimed actor, dancer, singer Obba Babatundé and members of Get Empowered! for an inspiring, INTERACTIVE, fun-filled community building evening of empowerment cultural arts & mindfulness featuring: world music, drumming, dance, Capoeira, tap, singing and more.
Open to ALL ages. Get Empowered! is on a mission to uplfit, unify and empower kids, families and communities throughout Oakland and the Bay Area with multicultural & healing arts-education programs, events, training and outreach workshops. Currently, Get Empowered! engages 3000 children every month in CA and NY.
Obba Babatunde is a strong support of Get Empowered and is generously donating his time to spread the message of positivity and empowerment to kids and families in the Bay Area. Guests are encouraged to bring acoustic instruments and your happy feet!
Contact and/or Registration info, including cost: FREE for kids 18 & under, suggested ticket purchase donation $10 for adults = 100% of all ticket purchases and donations goes directly to help Get Empowered! and their charity the TahDah Foundation provide more outreach programs to kids & families in Oakland and the East Bay.
